The United States Golf Association announced minutes ago that Ray Bourque, who retired as the most prolific scoring defenseman in National Hockey League history and was a longtime Boston Bruins captain, has been named honorary chairman of the 38th U. He finished his career with the Colorado Avalanche in , winning his lone Stanley Cup in his final game. Bourque was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in in his first year of eligibility.
